Wednesday

Possibly a new favorite author: Alice Adams. I'm reading her story Greyhound People, but I haven't finished so I can't decide yet. When I do, I'll have a review.
The best issue of the New Yorker came out yesterday.
I loved the article about model and photographer Lee Miller. Absolutely fascinating woman. Fascinating and devastating. And they even got away with putting a nude photograph of her in the magazine. I mean, it didn't bother me at all, but I could see how it would bother someone else. But that's all she really did, nude modeling, of course in an artistic style. So I suppose they had no other pictures they could really put in there. Even Pablo Picasso used her as a muse. I would summarize her life for you, but it would take forever. Just buy the New Yorker.

I found a name tag on the sidewalk of Wentworth Street yesterday that said "Hello, My Name Is...Baby Jesus." Things like that make my day just glow somehow.

What a joy and a wonder to find you writing about things I love as well! Music, art...especially reading and writing. I have a whole list of "have you reads" and "have you listened to's" for you.

When you're finished with that New Yorker issue, pass it my way.
